Vienna's 9th district
Alsergrund is located north of the 1st central district, Vienna. This district was formed in 1850 from seven neighboring suburbs. There are many sightseeing opportunities in the 9th district including the former residence and office of Sigmund Freud, Votivkirche, and the opera house Volksoper.
