Description

An old villa saved from demolition in 1963

Ernst Fuchs Museum is housed in the former Hüttelbergstraße which was built in 1889 by Otto Wagner. This valuable architectural monument was rescued by Ernst Fuchs, painter, visionary, architect, and is now known as Fuchs Villa. It has been a private museum, open to the public since 1988.

Visitors can explore private chambers which showcase hand made furniture and magnificent stained glass windows at Ernst Fuchs Museum. There are six rooms displaying the works of Ernst Fuchs, the world’s master of Fantastic Realism. Walk through and admire his oil paintings, etchings, sculptures, and drawings. Tour guides are available to lead guests through the museum.
