Contemporary photographic art gallery
OstLicht is a new project by Peter Coeln, who founded the WestLicht fine art photography museum in 2001. While WestLicht is mainly focused on classic and historic photographs, OstLicht shows contemporary photographic art by Austrian and international artists.
OstLicht boasts 400 m² of exhibition space for group and solo exhibitions of contemporary photographic art. In addition, OstLicht offers a rich library, which stocks over 20,000 books and magazines on art, technology, history and theory of photography, from the end of the 19th century to present day. Together, the photographic collection of WestLicht and OstLicht comprises over 40,000 items.
