Park and recreational area

Steinhofgründe is a recreational area, spreading over 45 hectares, in the Penzing neighborhood of Vienna. The park was once part of the domain of the Otto-Wagner-Spital nearby, and was used for horticultural purposes. Even today, you can see numerous fruit trees on its premises.

Steinhofgründe offers a wealth of recreational opportunities: the park offers play areas, ideal for ball games and kite flying; camping and picnic areas; hiking trails; small ponds and meadows; as well as a sledding hill and cross-country ski trail in the Winter.
