Viennese Art Nouveau architecture
The Wienzeilenhäuser by Otto Wagner are an ensemble of three houses that were built between 1898-1899. They are located on the Linken Wienzeile, not far from the Naschmarkt in the 6th district. The buildings represent an important example of Viennese Art Nouveau architecture.
The Wienzeilenhäuser by Otto Wagner are: - Majolikahaus (Linke Wienzeile 40); - the house at Linke Wienzeile 38, with white and gold decorations by Koloman Moser; - and the Köstlergasse 3 house, the simplest of the ensemble, which was inhabited by Wagner himself for a while.
